Wing and a Prayer Crochet was created in 2017, specifically to ‘give back’ through the sale of patterns and finished pieces, most specifically to benefit Texas Children’s Hospital for childhood cancer research. While Texas Children’s Hospital has been the primary beneficiary of the sales from our designs, we are not limiting ourselves simply to them but may be using certain designs to benefit other charities as well. We have done this already with the “A’Nyia Doll” where all profits will be going to the rebuilding of the A’Nyia Tyra Memorial Sports Facility which was destroyed during a recent tornado that hit the area.
In 2019, we changed our name to Wing and a Prayer Crochet & More and have committed to providing a variety of quality crochet designs, as well as branching out to other crafts, and using those designs to help provide awareness and support of the causes near and dear to our hearts. We are always open to new help and new ideas and our desire is to become a force for good through our crafting efforts.
We welcome everyone who loves crochet or other crafting mediums and all those with a heart to give back and be of service to others in need.
